The Sue Ryder Hospice Nettlebed provides incredible palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions, helping people live as well as possible with the effects of their condition by offering symptom management and support from a team of healthcare professionals. Nettlebed Hospice has an inpatient unit with 12 beds, located either in single rooms or single-sex rooms of two or three beds. These are all on the first floor and look out onto our wonderful grounds. They provide a 7-day community nursing service as well as day hospice services through which we are able to support patients and their families at home.
The money raised at WalkWithMe 2017 will be put towards the daily running costs of the hospice. It costs over £3 million per year to run the services, and over 70% of the money needed comes from voluntary donations. This means that they are almost entirely dependent on people like you in order to continue providing incredible care in the local community.
